"IT'S LIKE-- when there's a full moon. everything just gets-- heightened.."
Late at night, Dr. Stone reviews old recorded therapy sessions with a recently deceased patient. As the night goes on Stone discovers that David's psychosis may have some how been caused by Stone's present day actions.
LENGTH: 10 mins
Sync opens with Dr. Stone, a psychiatrist, receiving a phone call from the police. An old patient of his, David, has been found dead, a suspected suicide. Stone finishes the call and begins to review some old recorded sessions he had with David. Through the sessions we see David as a young man suffering from hearing voices. As the first session draws to a close, present day Stone makes a comment in response to something that David says in the video. For a moment it appears as though David hears it. Stone attempts to confirm this but David flees the room.
Stone looks through more tapes but is unable to recreate this link. He's almost convinced himself it was just a coincidence when something he says in one of the tapes - specifically that David's condition becomes heightened during a full moon - gives him a new idea. He begins to look up dates of full moons and cross referencing them with dates of his recorded sessions. We also see that the present day office is being illuminated by a bright full moon.
As Stone discovers more about this otherworldly link to David's mind he faces a choice between scientific curiosity and the moral issues of playing God with David's sanity.
